Marie Borglum is a lifelong resident of Southern Minnesota, with deep roots in the community and a passion for making a difference.

Born in Owatonna Marie graduated from Owatonna High School in 1974 and continued her educational journey at the University of Minnesota Waseca, graduating in 1976. After spending 27 years in Waseca, she moved to Kasota—arriving in a covered wagon as she likes to joke—and has proudly called it home for the past 15 years.

Her professional background is rooted in entrepreneurship and community service. She owned and operated Marie’s Excavating and Concrete Recycling from 1992 to 2009, a venture that gave her valuable experience in business management. After moving to Kasota, she ran Vantage Point Shooting Range from 2009 to 2019. This experience allowed me to interact and become close with many residents and contribute to the community as a local business.

Marie has always been dedicated to our Southern Minnesota community, and her commitment to the Kasota area has been unwavering. Her favorite saying is, “How bad can it be?”, not only reflecting her optimistic approach to challenges but also her colorful sense of humor.
